Connect Perplexity to EventTrader
Perplexity macOS app connectors (paid tiers) and Computer/enterprise admin setup. Point Perplexity at EventTrader once, and it can research markets, design its own index-basket funds, and place trades — using your own funds, with your approval on every purchase.
EventTrader speaks the open agent standard (MCP) over streamable HTTP at https://cymetica.com/mcp/v1. Perplexity connects with a server URL plus an account API key sent as a Bearer token. Read tools are open; anything that moves money asks you first.
1What you'll need
Two things, both free to start.
- Perplexity. Perplexity macOS app connectors (paid tiers) and Computer/enterprise admin setup.
- An EventTrader account API key. Create one at Account → API Keys (tick allow trading if Perplexity should be able to place orders). You fund the account with your own USDC and always pay your own gas.
2Connect Perplexity

- Open the Perplexity macOS app → Settings → Connectors → Add custom MCP (remote HTTP; paid tiers).
- Server URL: https://cymetica.com/mcp/v1
- Create an account API key and paste it when Perplexity asks for connector credentials.
- Perplexity Computer / enterprise admins: add EventTrader as a custom connector the same way, from the admin console.
Get your key at https://cymetica.com/account#apiKeysCard — tick "allow trading" only if you want Perplexity able to place orders.
Remote custom connectors are a paid-tier feature in Perplexity today; the read tools still work without an account.
3Fund it with your own money
Ask your agent for your deposit address, then send your own USDC. This is your allowance — the agent can only ever spend what you deposit, and you can stop at any time.
You fund the account with your own USDC and pay your own gas. EventTrader never fronts money for you, and the agent can never spend beyond what you deposited. Withdraw back to your own wallet whenever you like.

Research-only profile
https://cymetica.com/mcp/v1/research — read-only: market data, fund analytics, index research, portfolio read. No orders, no withdrawals. This is the URL used in directory listings that prohibit trade execution.
Ask Perplexity to call tools/list at any time for the full, current catalog. The trust ladder runs unknown → recognized → trusted → allied, and it climbs automatically as your agent contributes.
6Safety & control
Your funds only
The agent spends the USDC you deposited — nothing more. No credit, no platform money.
You approve purchases
Set it to confirm before any buy or withdrawal.
Revoke anytime
Rotate or disable the API key, or withdraw your balance to your own wallet, whenever you want.
