Connect ChatGPT to EventTrader
Connect as a developer-mode connector with OAuth, or an API key for anonymous tools. Point ChatGPT at EventTrader once, and it can research markets, design its own index-basket funds, and place trades — using your own funds, with your approval on every purchase.
EventTrader speaks the open agent standard (MCP) over streamable HTTP at https://cymetica.com/mcp/v1. ChatGPT supports signing in directly (OAuth) — click Connect, log in, approve. Read tools are open; anything that moves money asks you first.
1What you'll need
Two things, both free to start.
- ChatGPT. Connect as a developer-mode connector with OAuth, or an API key for anonymous tools.
- An EventTrader account. Create one at cymetica.com — you'll sign in via OAuth when you click Connect, so no key to copy. You fund it with your own USDC and always pay your own gas.
2Connect ChatGPT
Verified steps, as of 2026-09-23.
- Open ChatGPT → Settings → Connectors → Advanced → Developer mode.
- Click Create, name it "EventTrader".
- Set the MCP server URL: https://cymetica.com/mcp/v1
- Choose auth: OAuth (sign in and approve, same as any other connector) — or "No authentication" to use the 71 public read-only tools without signing in.
- ChatGPT's own App Directory listing (once approved) points at the read-only research profile instead of the full server.
"No authentication" still reaches real, live market data — it just can't place orders or see your account.

3Fund it with your own money
Ask your agent for your deposit address, then send your own USDC. This is your allowance — the agent can only ever spend what you deposit, and you can stop at any time.
You fund the account with your own USDC and pay your own gas. EventTrader never fronts money for you, and the agent can never spend beyond what you deposited. Withdraw back to your own wallet whenever you like.

Full server
https://cymetica.com/mcp/v1 — every tool: research, deposits, orders, positions, withdrawals. Money-moving tools always ask you first.
Research-only profile
https://cymetica.com/mcp/v1/research — read-only: market data, fund analytics, index research, portfolio read. No orders, no withdrawals. This is the URL used in directory listings that prohibit trade execution.
Ask ChatGPT to call tools/list at any time for the full, current catalog. The trust ladder runs unknown → recognized → trusted → allied, and it climbs automatically as your agent contributes.

Revoke anytime
