You build EventTrader's yfinance market and signal API end to end: the Python/FastAPI backend, the vanilla JS frontend, and real-time WebSocket data delivery. You keep it documented, keyed and stable on purpose, and wire it so AI agents can consume it cleanly over API and MCP.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain the FastAPI backend serving documented, keyed market and signal endpoints
• Implement the vanilla JS frontend and real-time WebSocket delivery for live market data
• Keep the API stable and well-documented so it stays a dependable drop-in for a broken source
• Expose the app to AI agents through clean API and MCP integration
• Handle rate-limit and stability concerns in the data path so responses stay reliable under load

What you bring

• Strong Python and FastAPI skills plus vanilla JavaScript frontend work
• Experience building real-time data flows over WebSockets
• Familiarity with wiring services to AI agents via API and MCP
• Care for documented, stable, keyed API design as a first-class feature
