AI Product Designer — yfinance

You own the UX of EventTrader's yfinance market and signal API surface: how a developer discovers it, gets a key, and reads the docs, and how both an AI agent and a human consume its data. You design flows, information hierarchy, mobile layouts, and clear empty and error states so a stable, documented API feels effortless to adopt.

💰 Salary: $130,000 – $175,000 USD / year · Remote OK

What you'll do

• Design the discovery-to-first-call flow: docs, key acquisition, and first successful market or signal request
• Shape information hierarchy so documented endpoints, parameters and responses are fast to scan and understand
• Design mobile-first layouts alongside the desktop experience for the docs and app surface
• Craft empty and error states, including rate-limit and no-data cases, that guide users to a working call
• Design for two consumers at once: a human reading the page and an AI agent parsing the same interface

What you bring

• Product design experience for developer-facing tools, APIs or data products
• Strong information architecture skills for documentation and reference surfaces
• Fluency in mobile-first layout, empty-state and error-state design
• Understanding of how AI agents consume structured data and documented interfaces
