AI Product Engineer — WorldQuant BRAIN

You build the WorldQuant BRAIN app end to end so an alpha builder can connect a strategy, have it trade their own account, and keep the P&L. You implement the Python/FastAPI backend, the vanilla JS frontend with real-time WebSocket data, and the API/MCP surface that lets AI agents drive strategies programmatically.

💰 Salary: $150,000 – $220,000 USD / year · Remote OK

What you'll do

• Build the backend that runs a user's strategy against their own account and attributes P&L to them
• Implement the frontend with live WebSocket updates for positions, performance and P&L
• Expose an API and MCP surface so AI agents can connect and run strategies programmatically
• Ship complete features across backend, frontend and agent interface together so the full user path works
• Handle first-run and failure paths in code so users without a strategy or results get correct behavior

What you bring

• Strong Python/FastAPI backend skills and vanilla JS frontend skills
• Experience building real-time interfaces over WebSocket data
• Ability to design and expose clean API/MCP interfaces for AI-agent consumption
• Track record shipping features end to end across backend, frontend and integrations
