QA Engineer / Tester — Tickertape

You test Tickertape from a brand-new user's point of view on the live mobile-first site, walking every flow that surfaces Indian and global valuation metrics, alerts and the API. You reconcile each number the app shows against an independent outside source of truth and turn every discrepancy into a reproducible defect report backed by a regression test.

💰 Salary: $85,000 – $135,000 USD / year · Remote OK

What you'll do

• Walk the full new-user journey end to end on the live site, on mobile and desktop, exactly as a first-time visitor would experience it
• Reconcile every valuation metric, price and global-market figure the app displays against an independent outside reference and flag any mismatch
• Exercise the 1,000-free-alerts flow and the public API, confirming responses match what the UI shows
• Write each defect as a clear reproduction with steps, expected vs actual, and a regression test that guards against its return

What you bring

• Hands-on experience testing consumer financial or data-heavy web apps across mobile and desktop
• Rigor in cross-checking displayed numbers against authoritative external sources
• Ability to author reproducible bug reports and automated regression tests
• Comfort validating a public API against the user-facing interface
