AI Product Engineer — r/wallstreetbets

You build the r/wallstreetbets app end to end — the Python/FastAPI backend, vanilla JS frontend and real-time WebSocket data that turn a thesis into a capped-risk position with a verifiable record. You also expose the app to AI agents through its API and MCP so an agent can place and track positions.

💰 Salary: $150,000 – $220,000 USD / year · Remote OK

What you'll do

• Build features across a Python/FastAPI backend and a vanilla JavaScript frontend
• Deliver real-time position and record updates over WebSocket
• Implement the path from thesis to capped-risk position and its running record
• Wire the app into AI agents via its API and MCP so agents can drive the same flow
• Ship features across backend, frontend and data surfaces together so the flow works for a new user

What you bring

• Strong Python/FastAPI backend and vanilla JavaScript frontend skills
• Experience building real-time features with WebSockets
• Ability to design and expose clean APIs and MCP interfaces for AI agents
• Track record shipping user-facing features end to end
