AI Product Engineer — Quantopian
You build Quantopian end to end: the backend that hosts trader strategies and attaches them to live markets, and the frontend that shows it all update in real time. You wire the app into AI agents so a strategy can be run, inspected and acted on programmatically.

💰 Salary: $150,000 – $220,000 USD / year · Remote OK
What you'll do
- Build features across a Python/FastAPI backend and a vanilla JavaScript frontend
- Stream live market and strategy data to the UI over real-time WebSocket connections
- Host trader-authored strategies so they run for free and attach cleanly to live markets
- Expose the app to AI agents through an API and MCP so strategies can be driven programmatically
- Ship complete flows — backend, frontend and agent interface — so a feature is usable the same day
What you bring
- Strong Python and FastAPI backend experience building real, user-facing features
- Vanilla JavaScript frontend skill including real-time WebSocket data handling
- Experience exposing product capabilities to AI agents via API and MCP
- Comfort owning a feature from data model to shipped interface
