QA Engineer / Tester — Quantopian

You test Quantopian exactly as a brand-new trader would: sign up, load a hosted strategy, attach it to a live market, and follow the full flow on the real site. You reconcile every number the app shows against an independent source of truth and turn each defect into a clear, reproducible report plus a regression test that keeps it fixed.

💰 Salary: $85,000 – $135,000 USD / year · Remote OK

What you'll do

• Walk the app end to end as a first-time user, from account creation through running a hosted strategy against live markets
• Cross-check every displayed figure — prices, positions, returns — against an outside reference and flag any mismatch
• Write reproducible defect reports with exact steps, inputs and expected versus actual results
• Convert each confirmed defect into an automated regression test so it cannot silently return
• Cover empty results, slow data and mobile layouts, not just the happy path

What you bring

• Hands-on experience testing live financial or trading web apps as a real user would
• Rigor in reconciling numeric output against independent references and spotting off-by-small discrepancies
• Skill writing automated tests, including browser-driven end-to-end checks
• Clear, precise written reports that another person can reproduce without asking questions
