You test the free data surface end to end on the live site exactly as a brand-new user would, from first visit through finding and pulling a dataset. You reconcile every figure the page shows against an independent outside source and turn each mismatch into a reproducible defect report backed by a regression test.

💰 Salary: $85,000 – $135,000 USD / year · Remote OK

What you'll do

• Walk the full new-user journey on the live site: discover, open and read a dataset with only a standard account
• Reconcile every displayed number against an external source of truth and flag any drift
• Write reproducible defect reports with exact steps, inputs and observed vs expected values
• Convert each confirmed defect into an automated regression test that guards against recurrence
• Re-verify fixes on the live site before a defect is considered closed

What you bring

• Hands-on experience testing live web apps from a real end-user perspective
• Rigor in reconciling data against independent references and spotting subtle numeric discrepancies
• Ability to author clear, reproducible bug reports and automated regression tests
• Attention to detail across data accuracy, formatting and empty or error states
