QA Engineer / Tester — Trending
You test Trending end to end on the live site as a brand-new visitor, confirming the app surfaces the assets and event cards with the hottest news-heat and volume. You reconcile every heat score, ranking and volume figure against an independent source of truth, and turn each mismatch or defect into a reproducible report backed by a regression test.

💰 Salary: $85,000 – $135,000 USD / year · Remote OK
What you'll do
- Walk the live Trending flow as a first-time user across desktop and mobile and log every broken or confusing step
- Reconcile displayed news-heat scores, volume numbers and card rankings against outside data and flag any drift
- Verify real-time updates land correctly and stale, empty or error states behave as designed
- File each defect as a reproducible report with exact steps, expected vs actual, and evidence
- Write regression tests that lock in fixed behavior and rank ordering so defects cannot silently return
What you bring
- Hands-on experience testing live web apps end to end from a real user's point of view
- Rigor in reconciling numeric and ranked data against independent references before trusting it
- Ability to write clear reproducible bug reports and automated regression tests
- Comfort validating real-time data and ranking logic without access to internal systems
