AI Product Engineer — Kalshi

You build EventTrader's features end to end — Python and FastAPI on the backend, vanilla JS on the frontend, and real-time market data over WebSocket. You wire the app into AI agents through clean API and MCP surfaces so an agent can trade the same flows a person can. You ship deposit, order, fill and tx-hash withdrawal paths that work for a brand-new user without hand-holding.

💰 Salary: $150,000 – $220,000 USD / year · Remote OK

What you'll do

• Build trading features across FastAPI backend and vanilla JS frontend as complete, shippable slices
• Stream live prices, orders and fills to the client over WebSocket with no polling
• Expose the app to AI agents through well-shaped API and MCP interfaces
• Implement deposit and tx-hash withdrawal paths on crypto rails end to end
• Ship each feature across backend, frontend and agent surfaces together so the whole flow is usable

What you bring

• Strong Python and FastAPI skills plus fluent vanilla JavaScript for the frontend
• Experience building real-time data over WebSocket for a trading or live-data product
• Ability to design and expose API and MCP interfaces for AI agents
• Comfort owning a feature from data model to UI to on-chain withdrawal
