AI Product Engineer — IEX Cloud

You build EventTrader's IEX Cloud API product end to end, from the Python and FastAPI backend to a vanilla JavaScript frontend fed by real-time WebSocket data. You also wire the product into AI agents so they can call it directly through its API and MCP surface.

What you'll do

• Build and ship features across the FastAPI backend and vanilla JavaScript frontend
• Deliver real-time market data to the interface over WebSocket connections
• Expose the product to AI agents through clean API and MCP interfaces
• Own features end to end, from data layer through to what the user sees
• Keep the returned data accurate and consistent as it updates live

What you bring

• Strong Python and FastAPI skills for building API-driven backends
• Fluency in vanilla JavaScript and real-time WebSocket frontends
• Experience exposing functionality to AI agents via API and MCP
• Ability to carry a feature from concept to a working, live surface
