AI Product Engineer — CoinGecko
You build the CoinGecko app end to end: a Python/FastAPI backend serving live crypto data, history well past one year and portfolio views, and a vanilla JS frontend that streams real-time updates over WebSocket. You expose these capabilities so AI agents can consume live data and trade programmatically through the app's API and MCP surface.

What you'll do
- Build backend endpoints for live prices, extended historical ranges and portfolio tracking
- Ship a vanilla JS frontend that renders market data and updates it in real time over WebSocket
- Wire the app's data and trade actions into AI agents through API and MCP interfaces
- Connect live data views to markets a user can actually trade, keeping numbers consistent across surfaces
What you bring
- Strong Python/FastAPI backend skills and hands-on vanilla JavaScript frontend work
- Experience with real-time WebSocket data delivery in production web apps
- Ability to design clean APIs and expose them for AI-agent consumption via MCP
- Track record building user-facing features across backend and frontend in one push
