QA Engineer / Tester — CoinGecko

You test the CoinGecko app end to end on the live site as a brand-new user would, from first page load through viewing live crypto data and placing a real trade. You reconcile every price, chart point and portfolio number the app shows against an independent outside source of truth, and you turn each defect into a reproducible report plus a regression test that keeps it fixed.

What you'll do

• Walk the full public flow as a first-time user: discover a coin, read its live data and multi-year history, build a portfolio view, and trade a market
• Reconcile every displayed value — live prices, historical ranges beyond one year, portfolio totals — against an external reference and flag any mismatch
• Verify real-time WebSocket updates match the underlying data and that stale or empty views degrade gracefully
• Write a clear reproduction for each defect and land a regression test so it cannot silently return

What you bring

• Hands-on experience testing live web trading or market-data products end to end from a real user's point of view
• Rigor in cross-checking numbers against independent sources rather than trusting the app's own output
• Ability to author automated regression tests for both UI flows and data-accuracy checks
• Comfort with real-time data behavior and reasoning about what correct values should be
