AI Product Engineer — Bookmap

Builds Bookmap's order-flow heatmap end to end, from the Python/FastAPI backend that assembles live order books, depth and prints to the vanilla JS frontend that renders them in real time over WebSocket. Also exposes the same live data to AI agents through an API and MCP so agents can read order flow programmatically.

What you'll do

• Build backend services that assemble live order books, depth and prints and stream them over WebSocket
• Implement the vanilla JS heatmap frontend that renders streaming depth and prints in real time
• Design and maintain the real-time WebSocket data path from source to display
• Expose the live order-flow data to AI agents via a clean API and MCP interface
• Build features across the full stack so a change ships backend, frontend and agent-facing surfaces together

What you bring

• Strong Python and FastAPI backend skills
• Proficiency with vanilla JavaScript and real-time WebSocket data on the frontend
• Experience delivering low-latency streaming market data
• Ability to design APIs and MCP interfaces for AI-agent consumption
• Working knowledge of order books, depth and time-and-sales prints
