QA Engineer / Tester — Bookmap

Tests Bookmap end to end on the live site exactly as a brand-new visitor would, opening the order-flow heatmap and confirming the live order books, depth and prints stream in over WebSocket. Reconciles every number the heatmap shows against an independent source of truth and turns each mismatch into a reproducible report backed by a regression test.

💰 Salary: $85,000 – $135,000 USD / year · Remote OK

What you'll do

• Walk the live Bookmap flow as a first-time user, confirming the heatmap, order books, depth and prints render and update in real time
• Cross-check displayed depth, prices and print sizes against an outside reference and flag any divergence
• Verify the free WebSocket stream stays connected, reconnects cleanly, and shows correct empty and loading states before data arrives
• File each defect as a step-by-step reproducible report and add a regression test that fails on the bug and passes once fixed
• Test the heatmap across desktop and mobile viewports for correct rendering and behavior

What you bring

• Hands-on experience testing real-time, data-heavy web interfaces end to end
• Rigor in reconciling on-screen financial figures against independent sources
• Ability to write clear reproducible bug reports and automated regression tests
• Working understanding of order books, market depth and time-and-sales prints
• Comfort testing streaming WebSocket data, including reconnection and empty states
