AI Product Designer — Backtrader
You own the Backtrader user experience: the flows a trader follows to host and run a strategy, the hierarchy of what they see first, and how it reads on mobile. You design the empty and error states and make the app equally usable by a human and by an AI agent driving it programmatically.

💰 Salary: $130,000 – $175,000 USD / year · Remote OK
What you'll do
- Design end-to-end flows for configuring, hosting and running strategies without environment setup
- Define information hierarchy and responsive mobile layouts for strategy results and charts
- Specify empty, loading and error states so every screen communicates clearly
- Design parallel affordances so both a person and an AI agent can complete the same tasks
What you bring
- Strong product design portfolio covering data-dense and real-time interfaces
- Fluency with responsive and mobile-first layout for complex screens
- Understanding of how AI agents consume and act on a product surface
- Ability to translate trader and strategy-hosting workflows into clear interaction design
