QA Engineer / Tester — Backtrader

You test Backtrader end to end on the live site, walking through it exactly as a brand-new user would, so hosted strategies run without the version and plotting archaeology that froze the original. You reconcile every number the app shows against an independent source of truth and turn each defect into a reproducible report and a lasting regression test.

💰 Salary: $85,000 – $135,000 USD / year · Remote OK

What you'll do

• Run full user journeys against the live site, from first visit through configuring and running a hosted strategy
• Reconcile every displayed value, result and chart against an outside source of truth and flag any mismatch
• Write each defect as a step-by-step reproducible report with expected versus actual behavior
• Convert confirmed defects into automated regression tests that guard against recurrence

What you bring

• Hands-on experience testing live web applications as an end user, not just in a local harness
• Rigor in verifying numeric and charted output against independent references
• Skill writing clear reproduction steps and automated regression tests
• Familiarity with strategy backtesting concepts and Python-based charting output
