AI Product Engineer — Alpha Vantage

You build Alpha Vantage on EventTrader end to end: a Python/FastAPI backend, a vanilla JavaScript frontend, and real-time WebSocket data delivery. You also wire the app into AI agents over API and MCP so an agent can call it directly within the published 100/min authenticated limit.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain the FastAPI backend that serves the app's data within its published request limits
• Implement the vanilla JavaScript frontend and real-time WebSocket updates
• Expose the app to AI agents via API and MCP so agents can consume it programmatically
• Enforce authenticated request limits correctly and return clear responses at the boundary
• Ship features across backend, frontend, and agent surfaces together so each capability is fully usable

What you bring

• Strong Python/FastAPI backend engineering and vanilla JavaScript frontend skill
• Experience delivering real-time data over WebSockets
• Ability to expose capabilities to AI agents through API and MCP
• Comfort implementing and testing rate-limited, authenticated request paths end to end
