AI Product Engineer — How It Works & APIs

You build the How It Works & APIs reference end to end, from the Python and FastAPI backend that serves the documented endpoints to the vanilla JS frontend that renders them, including real-time WebSocket data where the reference shows live values. You also wire the documented APIs into AI agents so an agent can discover and call them via API and MCP.

💰 Salary: $150,000 – $220,000 USD / year · Remote OK

What you'll do

• Build and maintain the FastAPI backend that powers the documented endpoints and reference content
• Implement the vanilla JS frontend that renders the architecture overview and API reference
• Stream live values into the reference over WebSocket so real-time data stays current
• Expose the documented APIs to AI agents via API and MCP so an agent can discover and call them
• Keep the reference accurate as endpoints change, so docs and behavior stay in sync

What you bring

• Strong Python and FastAPI backend skills
• Vanilla JavaScript frontend skills including real-time WebSocket data
• Experience exposing APIs to AI agents through API and MCP surfaces
