AI Product Engineer — Backtest API Docs

You build Backtest API Docs end to end, from the Python and FastAPI backend that serves the documented endpoints to the vanilla JavaScript frontend and real-time WebSocket updates that render them. You make every endpoint, parameter and copy-paste curl example accurate and driveable from code, and wire the API so AI agents can call it directly.

💰 Salary: $150,000 – $220,000 USD / year · Remote OK

What you'll do

• Build and maintain the documented backtest endpoints in Python and FastAPI
• Implement the vanilla JavaScript frontend and real-time WebSocket data that the docs display
• Keep endpoints, parameters and copy-paste curl examples exact and in sync with the live API
• Expose the API so AI agents can drive it directly from code, including a machine-callable interface
• Ship features across backend, frontend and real-time layers so the whole flow works for a coder

What you bring

• Strong Python and FastAPI skills for building and documenting REST endpoints
• Vanilla JavaScript and real-time WebSocket experience for live data in the browser
• Experience exposing APIs for programmatic and AI-agent consumption
• Ability to own a feature end to end across backend, frontend and the docs that describe it
