AI Product Engineer — Bot Backtester

You build Bot Backtester end to end: the Python and FastAPI backend that runs a bot strategy against a single asset's history, the vanilla JS frontend, and real-time WebSocket data. You also wire the tool into AI agents through its API and MCP so an agent can launch a backtest and consume the results.

What you'll do

• Build backend logic that runs a strategy against one asset's history and returns results
• Implement the vanilla JS frontend and real-time WebSocket data delivery
• Expose the backtest via API and MCP so AI agents can run it programmatically
• Ship the flow to the Basket Backtester for multi-asset runs
• Keep single-asset results fast, correct and consistent across the frontend and API

What you bring

• Proficiency in Python and FastAPI plus vanilla JavaScript frontends
• Experience with real-time WebSocket data in production web apps
• Familiarity with exposing features via API and MCP for AI agents
• Ability to deliver a feature across backend, frontend and API in one pass
