AI Product Engineer — Backtest Leaderboard

You build Backtest Leaderboard end to end — a Python/FastAPI backend, a vanilla JavaScript frontend, and real-time updates so new backtest results and rank changes stream in live. You also expose the rankings to AI agents through a clean API and tool interface so they can query and act on the board directly.

💰 Salary: $150,000 – $220,000 USD / year · Remote OK

What you'll do

• Build backend endpoints that ingest backtest results and compute the strategy rankings
• Implement the vanilla JavaScript frontend that renders and sorts the ranked results
• Stream live rank and metric changes to the page as new backtest data arrives
• Expose the rankings to AI agents via a well-documented API and tool interface
• Turn designs and defect reports into shipped, verified features

What you bring

• Proficiency with Python and FastAPI for building data-driven backend services
• Comfort writing vanilla JavaScript frontends without heavy frameworks
• Experience delivering real-time data to a browser over a live connection
• Ability to design APIs that both a UI and an AI agent can consume
