AI Product Engineer — Live Trading Chat

You build Live Trading Chat feature by feature: a Python/FastAPI backend, a vanilla JavaScript frontend, and real-time WebSocket delivery of channel messages. You also expose the channels to AI agents through a clean API and MCP so agents can read and post like any trader.

💰 Salary: $150,000 – $220,000 USD / year · Remote OK

What you'll do

• Build channel, message, and identity features end to end across backend and frontend
• Deliver live channel updates over WebSockets so readers and logged-in users see messages in real time
• Implement read-freely and log-in-to-talk access so anonymous reading and authenticated posting both work correctly
• Expose channel read and post capabilities to AI agents via API and MCP
• Write the tests that keep real-time delivery and posting reliable as features grow

What you bring

• Strong Python and FastAPI backend skills with vanilla JavaScript frontend work
• Hands-on experience building real-time features with WebSockets
• Ability to design and expose clean APIs and MCP interfaces for AI agents
• Comfort owning a feature from data model through live UI
