AI Product Engineer — Exchange

Builds features of the full order book Exchange end to end, from the Python backend that runs the book to the vanilla JavaScript frontend that renders it. Delivers real-time market data over WebSocket and exposes the Exchange to AI agents through clean API and MCP surfaces.

What you'll do

• Build Exchange features end to end across a Python backend and a vanilla JavaScript frontend
• Stream order book, trades and price updates in real time over WebSocket connections
• Design and ship API and MCP endpoints so AI agents can read the market and place orders
• Ensure order placement, matching and trade display stay correct and consistent across surfaces
• Diagnose and fix defects in the live trading path, keeping real-time views accurate

What you bring

• Strong Python and FastAPI backend skills with real-time WebSocket experience
• Solid vanilla JavaScript frontend ability for interactive, data-dense trading views
• Experience exposing product capabilities to AI agents via API and MCP interfaces
• Care for correctness on a money and order-matching path, shipping full features across surfaces
