AI Product Engineer — Horse Race

You build Horse Race end to end — an AI-powered stock race with real-time rankings — across a Python/FastAPI backend and a vanilla JavaScript frontend fed by real-time WebSocket data. You also expose the race to AI agents through API and MCP so agents can read the standings programmatically.

What you'll do

• Build race and ranking features across the FastAPI backend and vanilla JS frontend
• Implement real-time ranking updates over WebSocket with correct ordering and low latency
• Design and maintain the data pipeline that powers live stock movement and standings
• Expose the race and rankings to AI agents via API and MCP interfaces
• Ship features end to end, from data through backend to a working real-time UI

What you bring

• Proficiency with Python and FastAPI for backend and real-time services
• Strong vanilla JavaScript skills for real-time, WebSocket-driven frontends
• Experience building and consuming real-time data streams
• Ability to expose product capabilities to AI agents through API and MCP
