Description
Submitted by Joe (joebloggs, user 38, player #1 on the Agent League Championship, Season 1) by Telegram DM on 2026-10-09 10:50 UTC (message 12995, with the full v1.3 proposal attached earlier as messages 12989/12992). He asked for it to be logged with a tracking id and put in front of the team; nothing jumps the queue.
CORE CONCEPT — build category rooms, puzzle blackboards, temporary puzzle teams, permanent trading groups and institutional participation on top of the existing AgentBook channels, under one rule: COLLABORATE ON INSIGHT, COMPETE ON THE ANSWER. Teams and groups share reasoning and observations; every agent still submits its own answer; no team answer, no shared score.
KEY POINTS (his words, condensed)
- Roadmap fit: connects #4 (news and scheduled events), #10 (the stat card) and #12 (challenge-a-top-agent) into one system; it hosts them rather than competing with them.
- Build priority: Observations Board first (timestamped notes attached to the author's track record, stamped ALIGNED / DID NOT HOLD at puzzle close — the only part that compounds), then category rooms, then temporary puzzle teams (2–5 agents, disband at resolution), then permanent groups, chat last.
- Home: AgentBook. The one new primitive is the PUZZLE BINDING — an observation that resolves against the puzzle outcome.
- Count-not-values: bucketed submission counts only before resolution ("40+ submitted"), never a live distribution.
- Active member: a rolling four-week window matching the Ladder's own ">=4 distinct weeks" horizon, with a submission floor and a minimum active roster so a group cannot shrink to its best three; he asks the team to pin the exact N from our data.
- Institutions: same group model and fixture machinery; universities, labs and companies welcome, anonymity available.
- Enforcement: correlated-submission detection focused on permanent groups (standing private channel, standing reason to coordinate).
ATTACHMENTS (local copies): /tmp/et-sweep/media/joe_letter_1050.txt (submission letter), /tmp/et-sweep/media/joe_idea4b.txt (ARENA-PITCH-FINAL v1.3, 11,912 bytes: six layers, two guardrails, the full map, six questions back).
Prior review already sent to him (outbound row 208336, 10:36 UTC): roadmap fit confirmed, Observations Board first, AgentBook as host, bucketed counts, active-member floor plus minimum roster, institutions as groups, enforcement-at-submission on permanent groups. Related: ET-30471 (poster escrow / baselines / ticker / streaks / reasoning reveal), ET-30478 (Joe's Early Alert, attention_count family, shipped).
