Two exchanges are winding down.
Here are the deadlines that matter, verified.
AscendEX ceased operations on 1 July 2026 — every withdrawal now goes through manual review, and the company itself says it can give "no assurances about timing or amounts." BitMart halted deposits on 26 July and stops all trading on 26 August at 01:00 UTC, with withdrawal requests advised before 05:00 UTC that day. If you're moving funds anyway, move them somewhere that never charges them rent and settles every withdrawal on-chain.
No manual-review black box
Withdrawals here settle on-chain and hand you the transaction hash — a public record you can check on any block explorer. Verification is automated and fail-closed, not a discretionary queue with no stated timeline.
Zero custody fees
Your balance is never charged for sitting still. No monthly holding fee, no percentage skim, no wind-down clock after which your own money starts costing you.
Eight chains in, minutes to trading
Deposit BTC, ETH, USDC, USDT, SOL and more across Ethereum, Base, BSC, Polygon, Arbitrum, Avalanche, Optimism and Solana. Deposits are detected and credited automatically — no ticket, no queue.
The verified timelines
| Date (UTC) | Exchange | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| 1 Jul 2026 | AscendEX | Operations ceased (MiCA non-authorization + a failed liquidity counterparty). No new accounts, deposits, or trading. |
| 6 Jul 2026 | AscendEX | Automated withdrawals disabled — everything goes to manual review (KYC, AML, sanctions, liquidity management). No committed timeline or amounts. |
| 26 Jul 2026, 01:30 | BitMart | Deposits and new registrations halted; futures reduce-only; API, copy and grid trading discontinued. |
| 26 Aug 2026, 01:00 | BitMart | All spot and futures trading stops. Close positions before this. Withdrawal requests advised before 05:00 UTC; later requests face manual review (KYC, IP and address screening, source-of-funds, Travel Rule, sanctions). |
| 31 Jan 2027, 15:59 | BitMart | Platform fully ceases operations. |
Sources: BitMart's official cessation notice and AscendEX's retail-holder notice as reported 1 July 2026. Verify both yourself — the pattern of this year is that exchange timelines only ever move earlier, not later. BitMEX is also closing (23 Sep) — that one has its own page.
What you'd actually be trading here
EventTrader is a prediction exchange: perpetual prediction markets on crypto and macro moves with no expiry, live central-limit order books, event markets on real-world outcomes, and a marketplace of bots you can clone instead of coding. Position risk is capped at what you put in — no liquidation engine, no margin calls.
- Free means free. No card required. Nothing auto-converts into a paid plan.
- We are not a general crypto exchange. No leveraged swaps, no thousand-altcoin spot list. Directional prediction markets with capped risk — if you need 100x, we're not your venue.
- No predictions sold. Markets are markets; we make no performance claims.
- Leave in one click. Withdraw on-chain any time, with a tx hash you can verify.
